Amrapali Foods Ltd. (AFL) has
over a decade of experience in Friut and Vegetable
processing. AFL started production in 1988 and came
into control of the present management in 1993. Spearheaded
by one of its Directors, Mr. K.P.S. Keshri, the company
got a new vision of the World processed food market
of which India has just over 1% share.
The company has successfully processed Pineapple,
Tomato, Gooseberry, Water Melon, Jamun, Green Peas,
Chilies and Mushrooms and is the largest producer
of processed Litchi in the country.
AFL is located in the agriculturally
rich state of Bihar, which accounts for 70% of the
Litchi produce in India and also ranks amongst the
top-5 states in the country in the production of fruits
and vegetables.

Looking at the market
potential, a lot of investment has been made into the
unit in terms of Machinery and infrastructure. The unit
is well equipped for meeting the needs of Steam, Water
and Power.
AFL has recently acquired a Finnish machinery
for the purpose of concentration of
pulp and juices having an evaporation capacity of 2
tons/hr. Considering the demand for Tomato Paste and
Tomato Puree, this plant is the most suited. The unit
has the ability to produce juices at 2°C with arrangements
to further cool it to sub zero. The unit also has a
good ‘Cannery’ for efficient canning.
